About.I'm Andy. I spent 16 and a bit years working for BBC Radio 1. I produced Trevor Nelson, Vernon Kay, Sara Cox, Nihal Arthanayake, Edith Bowman (plus many others) and then worked out that Radio 1 needed to have as great a relationship with the Movies and Gaming industries as it did with the Music industry.
I established relationships with the world's biggest film companies and publicists, delivered huge cut-through content like the 50m+ YouTube hits 'Playground Insults' and started Radio 1's Gaming content. I became Head of Movies and Gaming Coverage for BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. Then, a new challenge and a family move led me to South Wales and commercial radio. I became Programme Controller at Capital South Wales (previously the legendary Red Dragon FM) and re-invented the station's output with a new strategy, new line-up, and (eventually!) record audience figures. Then, the ultimate challenge - life as a stay-at-home Dad to two amazing boys (while my wife took her chance to put career front and centre). And now, I'm here. I have worked out what I am good at (ideas, podcasts and tech) and what I love doing (coming up with ideas, making great content and helping people). So now it's down to you. How can I help you? |
